Primus Valuations

Dennis A. Webb is a business and real estate appraiser, author and innovator, with wide-ranging expertise in related fields. Experience with partnership syndication and real estate appraisal has led to Mr. Webb's specialization in the valuation of real estate-related holding companies and businesses, developing highly credible approaches to valuing some of the most contentious asset types. His practice focusses on the business of holding and operating real estate, allocating value to special-use real estate, and business valuation.

Mr. Webb has authored and coauthored numerous articles on holding company and fractional interest valuation, published in The Appraisal Journal, Estate Planning, the Journal of Business Valuation and Economic Loss Analysis and others. He teaches integrated business valuation/real estate appraisal topics, and has authored the textbook titled "Valuing Undivided Interests in Real Property: Partnerships and Cotenancies" published by the Appraisal Institute. He also speaks out on the role of valuation in public life, challenging conventional and increasingly unworkable beliefs about value.

He founded Primus Valuations nearly 20 years ago, to provide valuation and training services for clients and valuation professionals. Primus has wide-ranging interdisciplinary valuation capability directly, and through its American Business Appraiser and other contributors, an increasingly wide-ranging geographic and disciplinary capacity.

Prior to specializing in valuation, Mr. Webb was co-owner of a NASD broker/dealer firm, which provided real estate syndication, analysis and consulting services. He held licenses as a Registered Representative and General Securities Principal, and was also responsible for due diligence investigations. He received his B. S. degree in engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles, with a minor in economics. He worked for 15 years as a systems and design engineer.

Most of his publications and papers are at www.primusval.com.
