Daniel R. Van Vleet, ASA is a Managing Principal of the Griffing Group. He has more than 30 years of experience in providing valuation opinions and expert witness testimony in a broad range of industries for a variety of purposes. He has testified for litigants in a variety of jurisdictions, including U.S. Bankruptcy Court, U.S. District Court, Delaware Court of Chancery, Chancery Court of Cook County, Judicial Arbitration & Mediation Services (JAMS), and various state courts and arbitrations. He is a contributing author to eight business valuation textbooks and has published 35 articles on advanced valuation topics. He has presented over 70 advanced education seminars on the topics of business valuation, pass-through entity valuation, litigation, and financial advisory opinions. He is a nationally renowned expert on the valuation of pass-through entities and is the developer of the Van Vleet Model, a widely used pass-through entity valuation model. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser and former International President of the American Society of Appraisers. He has served as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University and a Finance Instructor at the School of Continuing Studies at Northwestern University. He currently serves on the valuation editorial board of Trusts & Estates magazine and is a former valuation advisor to the International Valuation Standards Council (IVSC), Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers (TAQEEM), and the International Institute of Business Valuers (IIBV).
