John Elmore is a valuation expert with an emphasis on the biomedical, healthcare, and information technology industries. He is a vice president with Willamette Management Associates, a national valuation advisory firm, where he leads the firm’s intellectual property analysis services practice. His practice includes valuation consulting, economic analysis, complex data analysis, and litigation support/expert witness services. John has testified in deposition and at trial in both state and federal court as a valuation expert, an economic damages expert, and a technology expert.

Prior to joining Willamette Management Associates, John was a vice president at Duff & Phelps, an international valuation and financial advisory services firm. Prior to joining Duff & Phelps, John was a patent examiner for the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. John also has served in a number of biomedical and information technology companies in various managerial and technical roles. His experience includes technology development in early stage companies, wherein he was an inventor with three patents issued.

John is a certified public accountant (CPA) and is designated by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), and a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). He holds the Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF) designation by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser candidate of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and was awarded the ASA’s Certificate in Advanced Education in Healthcare Valuation.

John graduated summa cum laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a double major in economics and computer engineering. He holds an MBA and two graduate degrees in the areas of biomedical engineering and computer science. He also graduated cum laude with a juris doctorate from the University of Georgia.
