Kenneth Mathieu is a managing director at Mesirow Financial Consulting, LLC and is based in Chicago. Mr. Mathieu earned an M.B.A. from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF). He has significant experience conducting analyses for dispute related damages involving merger and acquisition disputes, business valuation, accounting disputes, and fraudulent conveyances. He also conducts complex investigations related to accounting irregularities and management conduct. He has served as both the testifying expert and consulting expert on various matters involving complex damage, valuation, and accounting issues.

He advised the special committee to the Board of Directors for the company with the largest restatement in 2005 ($2.3 billion decrease to earnings), has led a team of over 80 professionals in conducting an investigation and has advised the United States Department of Justice and multi-billion public companies on complex valuation, accounting, and damage issues.

Mr. Mathieu is a member emeritus of the AICPA's Forensic and Litigation Services Committee and the former Chair of the Webinar Task Force and has taught valuation and damages at numerous venues, including to members of the Chinese Appraisal Society, who made a special trip to the United States to obtain a meaningful perspective regarding how to perform valuation work in the United States.
