Jonathan M. Dunitz is Counsel with Verrill Dana, in Portland, Maine where he practices in the areas of complex commercial and business litigation, insurance litigation and coverage, complex family law matters, and appellate advocacy. Jonathan has extensive experience providing counsel and preparing motions to exclude (or to avoid exclusion) of experts, a topic on which frequently speaks and writes. He has authored or co-authored articles on Daubert, including: Keeping Your Financial Damages Expert in the Case, March 2010 edition of DRI's For the Defense; Daubert and the Financial Damages Expert, Spring 2011 edition of the Maine Bar Journal; and, Daubert in the Realm of Financial Damages Experts, published under the "Thought Leadership"; banner of Willamette Management Associates' Autumn 2011 edition of Insights. He is a 1988 graduate of Ithaca College and a 1993 magna cum laude graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law where he was Lead Articles Editor of the Syracuse Law Review.
