Russell Hudson is an economist and internal consultant in the Procurement & Procurement Services Group with Hewlett-Packard in Houston, Texas. He has been involved in different roles within procurement and strategic supply chain operations since 1987 at such firms as Intergraph, Motorola, Gateway, and Compaq.

Russell received his Doctorate of Business Administration from the Huizenga Graduate School of Business at Nova Southeastern University, where he concentrated in management with a specialization in strategic management. He got his MBA from the University of Alabama and his BA from Alabama A&M. Since 1991, he has held the Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) credential from the Institute of Supply Management. He is a member of the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society and the National Association for Business Economics. He is also a Level 2 candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (CFA®).

Russell has been a faculty member at the University of Phoenix @ Houston since the campus opened in 2001. There he has received awards for excellent teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Since 2006, he has taught global strategy and economics at Belhaven College's Houston campus. His primary teaching interests are competitive strategy, management, and financial economics.

Russell resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Malissa, who is an instructional designer and adjunct faculty member at Lone Star College. They are the proud parents of two daughters – Taylor, a freshman at Lone Star College, and Kylie, a student at the Monarch School in Houston.
