Mark Higgins is president of Higgins, Marcus & Lovett, Inc., a business valuation and litigation consulting firm based in Los Angeles. Mark's practice is focused on the appraisal of privately held businesses for a variety of tax, planning, financial reporting, and transaction purposes. He also provides economic damages analysis and expert testimony in business litigation involving both public and private companies. Mark has testified in numerous superior courts and in U.S. Tax Court. He holds the Accredited Senior Appraiser designation from the American Society of Appraisers in the discipline of business valuation. He is a past chairman of the business valuation committee of the ASA's Los Angeles chapter.
Mark was formerly a corporate banker, holding a variety of management positions with Security Pacific Bank, Bank of America, and Wells Fargo. Mark earned an MBA with honors from the University of Southern California, where he earlier received a BS in Finance and Business Economics. Mark is a frequent guest lecturer in undergraduate and graduate business courses, and has been a speaker at numerous regional and national conferences on subjects related to valuation, economics, and banking.
