Mr. Frank has provided valuation and consulting services for companies in the following industries: Aerospace, Automotive, Banking, Commercial Printing, Construction, Consulting, Consumer Products, Defense, Distribution, Energy, Gas Stations/Convenience Stores, Government, Housing (Modular & Manufactured), Hospitality, Information Technology, Insurance, Laundry & Linen Service, Logistics, Machine Parts & Tools, Manufacturing, Medical Services, Medical Devices, Plastic, Professional Services, Restaurants, Retail, Software, Trucking, and Vending. These services have been performed for the following purposes: asset-based lending, compliance and regulatory, estate and gift taxation, expert witness, income taxation, mergers, acquisitions, shareholder buyouts, management buyouts, leveraged buyouts, financial reporting, collateral monitoring, divorce, dispute resolution, litigation support, strategic planning, and others.
Mr. Frank has partnered with many clients where we have been asked to provide going concern business valuations of entire companies and/or minority interests for partner disputes, buyouts, bankruptcies, sell/buy-side transactions, marital dissolution, issuance of new ownership interest, etc. domestically as well as abroad. These engagements have been completed in various settings, both in and out of court, for dispute resolution, litigation support, and regulatory compliance. We have even been asked recently by the courts to act as an independent arbitrator in a situation where various constituents were disputing the fair value of various asset classes. Usually, we are asked to act as an “expert” to refute/challenge the other parties “experts”. These discussions have taken place informally in casual discussion, or formally through deposition and/or court testimony. In the recent past, Mr. Frank has been involved in five formal cases where he has been prepared for deposition or provided testimony in court: Propex, PTC Alliance, Champion Enterprises, CET Tennis Enterprises, and Magnesium Corporation of America.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Frank comes to FON Advisors from the investment banking and corporate M&A world. Most recently, Mr. Frank was leader of both Hilco Enterprise Valuation Services - a leading provider of reliable opinions for financial institutions, investment firms and corporations on the realizable value of going concerns, intangible assets, intellectual property, and other specialized business assets for lending, transactional, accounting, financial reporting, tax, shareholder dispute, and litigation support purposes, and Hilco Corporate Finance – a middle market investment bank providing M&A advisory (both buy- and sell-side), debt and equity placement, balance sheet advisory, and strategic advisory services. Previously, he was with P&M Corporate Finance, where he was involved in both buy- and sell-side M&A transactions, principally in the life sciences, business services, and financial services sectors. Prior thereto, Mr. Frank was with Aon Risk Services, where he led the research and analysis team within the company’s M&A Professional Services group. His responsibilities included the analysis of financial and capital structures and interpretation of financial performance and constraints among Fortune 1000 companies. Earlier, Mr. Frank was Manager of Strategic Planning for Diamond Cluster International, a leading technology strategy consultancy. While with Diamond, Mr. Frank helped facilitate the acquisition and subsequent integration of a $650 million European consulting services provider. Jason has also served as a senior strategy analyst at Arthur Anderson LLP’s global headquarters.
EDUCATION:
Mr. Frank holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a BSBA from the University of Florida. Mr. Frank has various degrees in Finance, Strategy, Economics, Entrepreneurship, and Accounting. He is a non-practicing CPA. Mr. Frank is a licensed securities representative, holding his Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 registrations.

Mr. Frank is an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, Business Valuation Association, Association for Corporate Growth, Turnaround Management Association, Commercial Finance Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Executives’ Club of Chicago. Through these organizations, Mr. Frank has participated on several panels focused on finance, valuation, investing, and mergers & acquisitions, and has also written several articles for various professional publications.
