Bill has been appraising a wide range of businesses for more than 25 years, ranging from community banks, to small restaurant chains, to specialty manufacturers. In addition, Bill has valued many types of intangible assets, ranging from music catalogs of world-renowned artists and movie screen writer's royalty contracts, to technology patents, customer lists, and non-compete agreements.

He is a national instructor in Business Valuation for the American Society of Appraisers, serves on the Board of Examiners, and is the author of one of the ASA's credentialing courses and texts in Business Valuation. He is a contributing author of the “IFRS Fair Value Guide: The IACVA International Handbook” (published in 2010) by John Wiley and Son, Inc. and has been a technical reviewer for the last two editions of the AICPA book on business valuation.

He has traveled extensively throughout the U.S. to teach business valuation credentialing and professional development courses, and has taught BV overseas as well, most recently in Moscow, Istanbul, San Paulo, and Beijing. He speaks regularly on business valuation issues, having taught Continuing Legal Education credits on the subject, as well as Continuing Education credits to real estate appraisers and CPAs. Bill has served as a member and the Chair of the American Society of Appraiser's Business Valuation Committee, on the board, as Vice Chair, and a faculty member of the International Institute of Business Valuers, and has served on the Education Committee of the Institute of Business Appraisers. He currently serves on the Advisory Board of the International Society of Business Appraisers.
