Mr. Staruck joined GreatBanc Trust Company in 2004. Prior to joining GreatBanc Trust, he practiced law at a large Chicago law firm where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, including acquisitions and sales of privately held companies by employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), debt and equity financings and general corporate law.

In his career, Mr. Staruck has specialized in ESOP transactions and special fiduciary assignments. Mr. Staruck's ESOP responsibilities have included negotiation and structure of purchases and sales of public and privately held companies by ESOPS, and his special fiduciary responsibilities have included the negotiation and approval of settlements on behalf of qualified retirement plans involved in stock drop litigation under ERISA and related claims under the federal securities law. Mr. Staruck has co-authored multiple articles on the duties of fiduciary trustees.

Mr. Staruck received a juris doctor from the DePaul University College of Law and a master of business administration degree, with an emphasis in finance, from DePaul University's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. Mr. Staruck serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of GreatBanc Trust.
