Peter Resnick is the leader of the Boston office of Grant Thornton LLP's Forensics and Litigation Services practice.
Peter has experience in forensic accounting, financial consulting, financial statement audits, accounting, and fraud investigations. His clients have included law firms, Fortune 500 companies, high tech manufacturing and software companies, health care providers and insurers, and not-forprofit organizations. The wide range of industries Peter has consulted to also includes life sciences, waste and food services.
He has provided expert testimony and analysis at trial, deposition, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
For business disputes, Peter has assisted counsel in discovery, prepared witnesses, and quantified damages, in matters ranging from an allegation of racketeering to a securities class action to valuing limited partnership interests.
In forensics, he has conducted investigations related to payroll fraud, pricing practices, improper employee conduct and workers compensation compliance. In addition, he has performed contract review and other complex accounting work.
Peter's experience in the Life Sciences industry includes an investigation into billing practices, a dispute between a large health insurer and a hospital provider group, and an engagement by a nationally recognized health plan to assess whether medical claims were paid in accordance with a Third Party Administrator's agreement.
Previously, Peter was the co-national leader of the disputes & investigation practice of a nationally recognized consulting firm.
