Before choosing to focus on matrimonial law in 2004, John had more than fifteen years of experience litigating and trying complex commercial cases, defending white collar criminal prosecutions, and representing persons and institutions in regulatory actions brought by the SEC and other governmental agencies.
Among his accomplishments, John has worked on teams that have: upheld a prenuptial agreement protecting the assets of a “Forbes 100” client; obtained the largest equitable distribution award granted after trial in the history of New York State; successfully defended appeals that sought to disqualify a law guardian and vacate an award of attorneys' fees; and won multi-million dollar awards either by jury verdict or on summary judgment.
John has also lectured on a variety of legal topics, including, evidentiary issues, matrimonial law, and trial advocacy, before undergraduate and graduate school students, attorneys and bar association committees.
John lives in Westchester County with his wife, Julie, and their three children.
