Currently the CFO McEssy Investment Company and Eagle Oil & Gas Exploration, John oversees one of the largest franchise organizations in the U.S. and a firm actively drilling and producing gas and oil wells in Tennessee, Kentucky and Texas.

Prior to joining McEssy Investment Company and Eagle Oil & Gas Exploration, John was partner in charge of business development for the franchise division of Horne LLP, servicing over 3,000 franchised unites and 46 national franchise brands, primarily in the restaurant industry.

John's career began at McDonald's corporation, where he began working in 1973 as a restaurant crew person; he left the company in 2003 as Vice President. During his career at McDonald's John's positions included Regional Controller, Zone Controller, Division Controller, Store Manager, Area Supervisors, Business Consultant, Operations Manager, Field Service Manager, Director of Operations, and Division Development Officer. Through these positions he oversaw finance, operations, product development and implementation, and restaurant remodeling and re-imaging.

He holds a BS in Business Administration/Accounting from San Jose State University in California as well as his CPA and the CFD designation issued by the NACVA.
