Darren S. Cordier is a Director with Bernstein, Conklin & Balcombe; a valuation, litigation support, and financial advisory services firm located in Dallas, Texas. Founded in 1974, Bernstein Conklin & Balcombe is one of the largest independent valuation advisory firms in the Southwest region. Mr. Cordier has been with Bernstein, Conklin & Balcombe since 2003. Prior to joining Bernstein, Conklin & Balcombe, Mr. Cordier held the position of senior manager with Grant Thornton L.L.P., where he headed the group's SEC related valuations. Other employers in the business valuation field include Brueggeman and Johnson, P.C. (acquired by Grant Thornton), American Appraisal Associates, and Ernst and Young L.L.P.

Since beginning his valuation career in 1994, Mr. Cordier has performed valuations for a variety of purposes including fairness opinions, transaction advisory services, litigation support, valuations for tax purposes and employee stock ownership plans, and other studies concerning intangible assets of both closely held and public companies. Industries in which Mr. Cordier specializes include high technology companies (both hardware and software) and the oil and gas industry (production, transportation, and exploration). Mr. Cordier has performed valuations on a number of early stage companies for transaction advisory services, financial reporting purposes (cheap stock issues), and intangible asset valuations.

Mr. Cordier is a candidate member of the American Society of Appraisers and holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts.

Mr. Cordier received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master in Business Administration from Texas Christian University.
