Randy Biernat is a director in Katz, Sapper & Miller's Healthcare Resources Group. Randy's background includes providing business valuations, fair market value analyses, and general consulting services for a wide variety of healthcare clients. He has significant experience in performing healthcare appraisals and fair market value analyses in nearly all segments of the healthcare services industry.
Randy is primarily responsible for the planning and supervision of a variety of healthcare transactional projects. He routinely performs technical research and writing with respect to emerging issues, including regulatory issues. Randy is also the caretaker of the KSM Healthcare Blog.
Randy graduated with highest distinction from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. He also completed his Master of Professional Accountancy from the Kelley School of Business at IUPUI.
Randy holds the designations of Certified Public Accountant, Accredited in Business Valuation, and Certified in Financial Forensics.
Randy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the Business Valuation, Forensic, and Litigation Support Section of the AICPA, and the Indiana CPA Society. He is also a contributing author to the 2010 edition of BVR's Guide to Healthcare Valuation, distributed by Business Valuation Resources (BVR) and the American Health Lawyers Association. Randy also serves as president of the board for the Domestic Violence Network of Greater Indianapolis.
