John Ashbrook, CFA, ASA, brings over 10 years of business valuation and corporate finance experience to FMV. In his career, he has performed and managed fairness and solvency opinions, business and securities valuations, and corporate finance transactions for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions, financial restructurings, going private transactions, debt and equity financings, ESOPs, tax and financial reporting, and litigation. His clients have included small, middle market, and Fortune 500 private and public companies in an array of industries including aerospace and defense, restaurants, high-technology, and energy, among others.
Prior to FMV, Mr. Ashbrook spent approximately four years with Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin managing business valuation engagements for a variety of purposes. Prior to that, he was a Manager in the business valuation practice of Ernst & Young LLP.
Mr. Ashbrook graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and received his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame. Mr. Ashbrook earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers.
