As a Director with Alvarez & Marsal Valuation Services, LLC, Mr. Andrews specializes in economic research, financial modeling, and analysis in connection with the valuation of public and closely held businesses and business segments, financial instruments, and related matters for financial statement reporting, tax reporting, corporate planning, litigation support, and other purposes.
Mr. Andrews's primary focus has been in providing valuations of early stage and venture-backed companies, share-based compensation, financial instruments, and derivatives, including options, warrants, convertible instruments, swaps, market and performance based stock awards, and various embedded derivatives, for financial statement reporting and tax reporting purposes.
Mr. Andrews has a broad base of experience in a variety of industries, including biotechnology and pharmaceutical, Internet, software, and a variety of other technology segments.
Prior to joining Alvarez & Marsal, Mr. Andrews was a Manager with Grant Thornton LLP's valuation services and a pricing analyst for Speakeasy, where he supported marketing in analyzing pricing and approving discounted pricing on individual proposals. He maintained the company's sales quote tool, provided analysis and recommendation for proposed pricing, and developed pricing analyst processes. As an Estimator and Business Analyst with the Boeing Company, Mr. Andrews developed pricing for contract proposals (primarily government), developed estimating and forecasting models, performed cost variance analyses, and consolidated and analyzed quarterly forecasts for individual manufacturing segments.
Mr. Andrews holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a Finance concentration, from the University of Washington.
