Sandra (Sandy) McEwen is the Managing Director of Valuation & Analytics at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan (OTPP). She oversees several Finance teams who are responsible for private investment valuations, as well as sustainability, risk, performance and total fund reporting and analytics. Sandy has over 20 years of senior finance leadership in valuations, risk management, performance and private investment portfolio management and support. The Private Investment Valuation team that she oversees is responsible for assessing the value of each of OTPP’s ~200 direct private investments, as well as its global real estate investment portfolio. Additionally, Sandy recently spearheaded the establishment of a new Sustainability Reporting and Analytics function and is currently involved in several on going data, technology and AI related initiatives within OTPP. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science and a Master of Management and Professional Accounting degree from the University of Toronto, as well as Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA) and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designations. Prior to working at OTPP, Sandy was a Vice President of Valuations with PwC Canada.
