Ed Morrow recently returned to private law practice and is an attorney and Co-Chair of the Estate Planning and Trust Administration Groups at Kelleher + Holland, LLC, a law firm based in the Chicago area in North Barrington, Illinois. Previously, Ed was a Wealth Strategist for the Huntington Private Wealth Strategy Group and in similar roles for U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management and KeyBank Family Wealth Advisory Group in Cincinnati, Ohio and regional areas. Other experience includes drafting trial court opinions for the U.S. District Court of Portland, Oregon as a law clerk.
Education: Ed has his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. He has a master’s degree in business (MBA) from Xavier University in Cincinnati and a master’s degree in tax law (LL.M.) from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio.
Professional Affiliations and Accomplishments: Ed is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and its estate planning section. Ed was a board-certified specialist in estate planning and trust law through the Ohio State Bar Association 2007-2023 (not renewed) and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), currently Chairing its Employee Benefits committee and serving on the Asset Protection committee. He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and an approved non-public arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Association (FINRA). He is on the editorial board of the Probate Law Journal of Ohio and is active in the Ohio State Bar Associations Estate Planning Section Council, currently co-chairing an effort to draft and pass an Ohio community property trust statute. He is a frequent writer and speaker on wealth management, tax and asset protection topics nationwide and has been quoted in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. He is the Co-Author, with Paul Hood and the late Stephan Leimberg, of Tools and Techniques of Estate Planning, now in its 21st Edition, a comprehensive 1000+ page estate planning guide.
