Gary has more than 28 years of valuation experience working with closely-held businesses, limited liability companies, and partnerships for estate and estate planning purposes, ESOPs, buy/sell agreements, dissenting shareholder disputes, and family law matters. Gary has valued hundreds of companies across a wide range of industries, ranging in revenue size from less than $1 million to nearly $1 billion. He has testified as an expert witness for both business valuation and income tax matters in North Carolina and has appeared before the Internal Revenue Service on business valuation issues.

Prior to joining Elliott Davis, Gary served as Senior Vice President for 21 years with Banister Financial, a Charlotte valuation firm. Gary also has investigatory experience as an FBI Special Agent in the Washington, D.C. area.
