Lance Schmidt

Mr. Schmidt received his BA in Business, with an emphasis in Accounting, from Cal State Fullerton, graduating with honors in 1984. Upon graduation, American Stores employed him as an Internal Auditor. In 1987, he accepted an audit position with the firm of Coopers and Lybrand International in Newport Beach, California, where he became a Certified Public Accountant. In 1988, he left Coopers and Lybrand to join National Business Brokers, Inc.

Since joining NBB, Mr. Schmidt has had the opportunity to negotiate the sale of over one hundred businesses and has valued thousands more. He has also provided expert testimony both in court and in arbitration cases. He is a CVA-Certified Valuation Analyst with NACVA, the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts and provides Business Valuations and Asset Appraisals that comply not only with NACVA standards but with the Standards of USPAP-Uniform Standards of Appraisal Practice of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and Statements on Standards for Valuation Services of the American Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Schmidt's credentials and hands-on experience in Accounting, Auditing, Management, Business Brokerage and Mergers & Acquisitions uniquely qualifies him to provide Certified USPAP Business Valuations and Asset Appraisals, Expert Witness Testimony, Intermediary Services, Business Plans, Exit Planning, and General Business Consulting. Additionally, Mr. Schmidt is a CBB, Certified Business Broker with the California Association of Business Brokers and was their treasurer in 2015.
