He has seven years of experience as part of the management team of two privately-held manufacturing companies in the capacity of controller and/or vice president of finance. Responsibilities of these positions included oversight of the accounting and finance, human resources, logistics and information technology functions.
Jay's business valuation experience includes valuing closely-held corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships for estate and estate planning purposes, buy/sell agreements, dissenting shareholder disputes and family law disputes. Jay has experience in performing valuations under the fair value concepts used for financial reporting purposes in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles in the United States; including purchase price allocation and the analysis of goodwill impairment. He has performed valuation in the manufacturing and distribution, financial institutions and services, healthcare, construction, retail, real estate, construction and business services industries.
Jay's expert witness testimony includes providing testimony regarding business valuation and economic damages. He has qualified as an expert witness in U.S. District Court, Circuit Court, and Family Court
