Greg Wheeless is part of Bank of America's Government Contractor Group which provides an array of debt and equity capital services to large and mid-size government contractors nationwide. At Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Mr. Wheeless has been involved for years in providing acquisition financing to strategic government contractors and private equity groups as part of their M&A activity. He is also actively involved on a daily basis with providing organic working capital financing and an array of other banking services to government contractors across the country.
Mr. Wheeless has enjoyed 31 years in commercial banking doing government contract and commercial lending in the Washington D.C. area. Prior to Bank of America, Mr. Wheeless was with CIT Aerospace & Defense Finance for many years. From the late 1980's until the late 1990's, Mr. Wheeless provided financial services to government contractors and commercial businesses while at Crestar Bank which is now part of SunTrust Bank.
Greg Wheeless is on the board of the Northern Virginia County Chamber of Commerce and is co-chair of the chamber's Government Contracting Council. He is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth. In 2009, Mr. Wheeless was honored to be awarded the Capital Provider of the Year Award from the Association for Corporate Growth's National Capital Chapter. Mr. Wheeless was also awarded the Best of Reston Award in 2000 for his community involvement.
Mr. Wheeless holds a MBA with a concentration in finance from George Washington University in Washington, DC and a bachelor of business administration degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
