Jon Brandow
BizMiner

Jon Brandow is the principal of BizMiner, which he established in 1990 as a strategic development firm consulting to public and private entities, including the Commonwealth of PA and the US Appalachian Regional Commission. Since its founding, BizMiner has increasingly focused its capabilities on statistical research and development, and in 2002 launched its web site and online product series. BizMiner's industry reporting series have since expanded significantly as the company fills the "granularity gap" in industry research and benchmarking.

Before establishing BizMiner, Jon served as Deputy Financial Advisor to the Governor of Pennsylvania. Prior to finishing his education, he worked for nine years in the shipyard industry, including three as President of the 6000-member Shipbuilders Union in Quincy, Massachusetts.

Jon holds a BA from Brown University and a Masters from Penn's Fels Center in the Wharton School of Business. He lives in Camp Hill, PA with his wife Susan, a therapist. Their blended family includes three daughters, a son and a new granddaughter.
