Jim's professional experience includes auditing and tax services to closely-held businesses; third party administration services to qualified plans, including ESOPs; retirement plan and employee benefit plan consulting; independent ESOP trustee appointments; valuations and fairness opinions for business transactions under $100 million.
Jim graduated from Bob Jones University with a B.S. degree in Accounting. Through 2005, he was a partner with regional CPA firm, Dixon Hughes PLLC. Jim is currently a partner in the Joyner Burnette CPA Firm, Integra Benefits Consulting LLC, and Integra Valuation Consulting LLC, located in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
In addition to his licensure as a Certified Public Accountant, Jim is also Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), a Certified Pension Consultant (CPC), and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Auditor® (AIFA®), Certified in Risk Management (CRM), Certified ESOP Administrator, and a Certified Patent Valuation Analyst (CPVA). He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the South Carolina Association of CPAs, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, and the ESOP Association, where he has served on the Fiduciary Committee and the Legislative and Regulatory Committee.
