Mr. Wolfrum has practiced law for over 40 years, the last 35 years specializing in Family Law. He has been certified by the California State Bar as a Family Law Specialist since 1993. Mr. Wolfrum has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1993 and a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 2003. Mr. Wolfrum has been recognized as a Super Lawyerâ„¢ every year since 2008. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Law Journal from 2010 to 2012 and continues to serve the Academy as an editorial board member. Mr. Wolfrum represented AAML on the Uniform Law Commission's Family Law Joint Editorial Board from 2008 to 2011.


Mr. Wolfrum actively serves his community, founding the Contra Costa County Family Law Pro Per Clinic, leading mentoring groups, serving as a judge pro tempore and actively advancing the AAML Foundation. Mr. Wolfrum maintains an active family law trial and appellate practice, in 2013 arguing an IRCARA case before the 9th Circuit. Mr. Wolfrum enjoys trying family law domestic and international business valuation cases.



Mr. Wolfrum earned his B.A. at California State University at Los Angeles in 1968. He earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of California Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco in 1972. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1972. In 1972, he was admitted to practice in all California state courts, the United States Federal District Court for the Northern and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court in 1993. He resides in central Contra Costa County.
