Linda Sweet is a director for the financial valuation practice. She performs valuation analyses of intangible assets, business enterprises, and capital stock for various purposes including purchase price allocations, fresh start accounting, corporate restructuring and tax planning, and estate and gift taxes.

Linda has also been involved in providing fairness and solvency opinions in connection with merger and acquisition transactions and corporate reorganizations. She has presented testimony as an expert witness for the State of Wisconsin Circuit Court, Outagamie County.

Linda has served corporate clients in various industries. She has extensive experience appraising air-transportation-related business enterprises and intangible assets including: trademarks, slots, routes, contracts, customer-related intangible assets, operating certificates, and leasehold interests.

She has also been involved in providing data related to market rents for airline gates, ticket counters, baggage handling facilities, and related service areas, and providing indications of value for corporate aircraft use.

Linda has significant experience providing financial analysis and business valuations for lottery and gaming companies and financial services and transaction processing companies. Intangible assets she has appraised include: trademarks, proprietary technology (software, patents, game libraries), customer contracts and customer relationships, distributor networks, contracts, license agreements, noncompetition agreements, and in-process research and development.

Linda has also performed numerous tax-related assignments such as international reorganizations and the valuation of closely held securities. Additionally, she has issued opinions on discounts for restricted securities.

Linda joined American Appraisal in 1993 as an associate appraiser, and has been in her current position since 2010.
